Graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville where she also completed medical school in 2003. She did research and dermatology residency at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Kunishige completed a one year Mohs Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship in 2009 under the direction of Drs. John Zitelli and David Brodland. The training is officially approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery and the AMA�s Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education.
Dr. Kunishige has authored over 25 articles and book chapters on skin cancer, lasers, and cutaneous lymphoma. Her melanoma research was nominated for the Tromovitch Award of the American College of Mohs Surgery. She is the author of New Beauty Magazine�s first book: Beautiful Skin Revealed. The book is set to release in stores this summer.
Dr. Kunishige is a board-certified dermatologist. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and The Women�s Dermatologic Society.
